Our Roots
Growing up in China, tea was more than just a beverage; it was a way of life. The rich flavors, the delicate aromas, and the meticulous crafting of each blend formed an integral part of our daily rituals.
However, upon immigrating to the States, I encountered a gap that many expatriates face—a scarcity of genuinely high-quality tea. The market was flooded with teas that necessitated the addition of sugars, creams, and various flavor enhancers to mask their mediocrity.
This was not the tea culture we knew and loved. It was then that we saw an opportunity to bridge this gap and introduce the authentic tea experience that we cherished so much.
A Unique Foundation
The inception of Seven Teahouse was serendipitous, inspired by a fusion of passion and expertise. My sister, a pioneer in the food safety testing industry, leveraged her profound connections within the tea world.
These weren’t just any connections, but ties to some of the most venerable tea companies, some founded as far back as the 18th century and others that have been nurtured through generations.
With access to master tea cultivators and blenders, we embarked on a mission to start a tea business that would redefine the tea landscape in the U.S.
